If you’re like me and possess skin that prefers to turn a shade of lobster rather than tan, here’s three easy ways to dress for the heat.
1 Stick on a shirt
Longer sleeved shirts are great. They’re loose, light and great for covering areas that are prone to sunburn (aka your back or shoulders). Even better, they can also help protect or hide bug bites.
I paired this white Zara shirt with a suede skirt during my visit to the Caribbean last week, then added a leather Fiorelli bag and Topshop flats. Still great for the heat AND stylish too.
2 Say hello to hats
Find yourself a hat and NEVER part ways. Hats keep your head protected from the sun, the heat and look great too. Stick on some shades and bask away. I love this little number from Forever 21.
3 Opt for bright makeup
Even if you do manage to get burnt despite your efforts, brighten up your look to match with a stark shade of lipstick.
I love MAC’s Russian Red – and the colour worked really well with the Mango dress I wore for a dinner during my trip.
Hope you like – being pale shouldn’t mean we can’t enjoy the sun too!
