IMAGES: The Algarve, Portugal


The Algarve, Portugal’s southernmost region, is renowned for its idyllic Mediterranean beaches, striking blue skies and golf resorts so manicured they could pass for stately gardens.


I was lucky enough to visit and stay at the stunning Conrad hotel – which is a destination in itself. There’s luxury, and then there’s luxury. 

But despite the splendour, it isn’t snobby in the Algarve. People are friendly – always up for a party, and especially if there’s food involved. I loved it!
